TCR offers full service plant relocation. We have experience moving entire plants across town and across the country. Our equipment and personell can handle any size job. Whether we utilize our 600 ton jacking system or our 80,000 lb. fork trucks, our skilled professionals make any relocation more efficient and effective. 

We work closely with our in-house Engineering Department to develop strategic move projects and detailed lift plans to complete the safest, most efficient lifts possible.

Omaha, NE to Greenwood, SC

Move plant from Omaha, NE to Greenwood, SC.  In addition, Vickers requested machines be cleaned and painted at TCR, Coffeyville, KS prior to shipping to Greenwood, SC for offload and reinstall

  • Over 1,750 machines per move including, Broaches, Mills, Washers, Cooling systems, Vibes, Demags, Various Drills and Machining centers, Conveyors, etc.
  • Plant move took place over 1 year period with 36 trips to Omaha.
  • 200 trucks loads shipped consisting of oversize, legal flats, steps, vans

Johnson Controls – Monterey, Mexico to Norman, OK / Wichita, KS

Dismantle, load, transport, offload and reinstall entire plant from Mexico to Norman, OK and Wichita, KS. Machinery included: presses, shears, assembly lines, ovens, and more.  Project required extensive planning and communication with border authorities and was finished ahead of the one-month timeline.

Electrocoat System (E-Coat):
(3) Koch Anodic E-coat lines, each 200 ft. long, 23,000 gallons, modified epoxy tanks with glass cloth reinforced lining, for both anodic and cathodic for 3 colors of paint

Pretreatment Washer:
Dual line, 203 ft. long, 8 stage, iron phosphate.


Dry Off Ovens:
(2) Large gas fired curing ovens, to 450 degrees (F).

Conveyor System:
A network of (9) individual conveyors, 5500 ft. of power and free, 400 carriers, (3) hang stations, and (6) take off zones.

Electrostatic Spray System:
(3) Fanuc P100 6 axis paint robots with RH controllers, (2) Ransburg AeroBell 33 electrostatic rotary systems.

Mezzanine System:
Atlas manufacturing beam and truss, 12,656 sq. Ft. with elevators and floor conveyor.

TCR provided manpower and equipment to relocate Machinery to Carlson’s new location at 4333 S. 86th Ave.

RELOCATION

Johnson Controls – Largo, FL

Taylor Crane & Rigging supplied supervision, manpower, and equipment to dismantle, load, transport, offload and reinstall the entire plant from the existing plant to the new plant. During the process of plant relocation, JCI Company stayed in full production and customer orders never went below ninety-seven percent.

The project was completed on time, with no incidents or injuries to the customer’s satisfaction.
